I'm dreaming about a new vehicle...

and I'm thinking about a Jeep..one with a hard and soft top. I really really like the look of them and I need something high up...I travel on gravel roads year round. I have been told they are nightmares(not my words)..sheesh...how can that be?
I wonder what winter driving would be like also.
