Today, mid afternoon I was passing you while you were driving a flatbed tow truck heading west near cypress river(I was driving a white silverado).  
 
Just as I was coming past you I let off the gas but my pedal was stuck at full throttle and I kind of panicked a bit and didn't notice if I was swerving into your lane or not.  
 
It turned out my pedal got hung up on my floor mat and I had to kick it loose.  
 
Anyways, i wasn't sure if I swerved or not, I just wanted to apologize if I did.

hey you should get your carpet fixed, that was a near miss and could happen again.

I thought it was nice for hutchster to explain what happened. I'm sure they are aware of the floormat after a scary incident.  
 
Happened to a friend of mine once and it was a terrifying short time which seemed uncontrollable when you're going at full throttle.  
 
At least the OP was big enough to get on here and explain the situation. Reminds the rest of us to check our mats and be sure they're in the proper position and haven't shifted.

The brakes on a Silverado will easily overpower the engine even if it is wide open. I doubt you would even notice the difference in stopping distance!!

Yeah, I used some mechanic wire and ran a strip from each corner of the mat and wrapped it around the seat mounts so it's not going forward anymore.  
 
The first time it happened was a few years ago going up hwy 10 near minnedosa and that time it really threw me for a loop so afterwards I put a couple short screws through the mat into the carpet and it held up well, until yesterday anyways.  
 
And yes, my brakes kept the speed under control especially seeing as I've got the 4.3 v6 lol
