And sometimes they don't bother to change the filter. Might even forget the drain plug. Cheapest is to do it yourself.

I always go there and get synthetic oil never had a problem, they know me by name and know my vehicle. Only time I have had issues was when I went to the places on 18th that "specialize" in oil changes....one didn't put on my oil cap and the other used the wrong filter for my engine and they costed twice as much!

With Walmart you choose the brand of oil you'd like!

The Chevy dealership is just over $50 and there honestly some of the nicest people I met, they always go the extra mile even for just an oil change. They go over your whole vehicle and give you a report on what's wrong... I think it's worth the $50.

So many people come on here asking for prices and do you know if's. Thats what the yellow pages is for, cmon now. Phone the company if you need info. Just common sense.

Around 67-75 bucks depending on the brand of synthetic I choose and if I get them to do anything else. Regular oil of course would be cheaper

I pay about $45 at Murray's. No appointment necessary and it comes with a free carwash

Lol....I think the same a lot of the time. Asking questions like this don't make sense. A lot depends on the vehicle. For all we know the person may be driving a diesel.

I get curious when people cannot advertise their business but if it is worded of where to go or who is the best we can advertise all we want through a thread. I cannot tell what the difference is. Not that I am but I could be the mechanic at Walmart saying that the best priced oil changes are done there.

I live outside Brandon but we sometimes come into the city using different routes, and boy they sure are doing a lot of building in some areas, and I figure that some of those houses are for newcomers to the city. By asking a general question people get information on all sorts of topics, from oil change places to restaurants people sometimes just like to know others opinions.  
 
Ok back on topic, we change our own oil at the farm but I have had some people tell me they are happy with the place by Rosser on 18th, sorry but the name eludes me but the place is easy to find.

come on Jimmy what is better taking an hour or more to call all the shops listed in the yellow pages and asking for prices or asking a simple question like the OP did . On here you can get opinions for all the places in town with comments about the quality of service and personal experiences with out spending an hour on the phone calling every shop listed in the yellow pages.  
With the technologies of today i can honestly say i don't know the last time i even used the phone book or yellow pages. This is by far the easiest and quickest way to get some advice about anything just as long as you don't mind getting comments like yours or worse instead of just an answer to the original question.

I actually use Canada411.ca all the time. I know my posts always get deleted when I post a link from there(reasons unknown). I just used it for oil changes and 35 places in Brandon came up. Lists pretty much all the dealerships, repair places, quick lubes, etc. I never use a phone book but I do use this site a lot. Even for "who is open late for insurance" thread. OP didn't post how late, nor what kind of insurance so it could be many things that don't pertain to what is asked. 411 can have links to business sites for hours of operation too. Kind of a one-stop-shop for information like here.

Discovered last week that the Synthetic 0W20 oil change I was getting from Walmart was actually more than it is at Honda.  

I go to these places because you get a free car wash all your fluid levels checked brakes checked tires checked and if you need any work done they'll call you to let you know. They also have a shuttle service to bring you to the mall or wherever you want to be dropped off instead of waiting. Also I'm able to drop off my car early before they open and I know my car will be done by when I am able to pick it up
