I got a great deal on eBrandon on some barely used winter tires and rims for our 2013 Ford Edge. They came off a Ford Flex. They were originally purchased from a ford dealer and are on Ford black steel rims. So I put them on the vehicle myself over two weeks ago. Yesterday a warning showed up - "Tire Pressure Sensor Fault". (not low tire, and pressures are good)  
Any idea what to do now? (and don't tell me to take it to the dealer) Do these sensors not self learn? Do I need to buy a relearn tool? Why did it take two weeks to show a warning?

To save money, those tires likely didn't come with the sensors. When I got winter tires I didn't get sensors put in, so I spend the winter with my sensor light on.

Most fords do not relearn automatically. I`m guessing you`re going to need to take it somewhere to relearn the TPMS sensors to the computer of your vehicle. You may only need to take it to a tire shop and not a ford dealer. Some of the relearn tools can cost $1500-$3000 for a good one that does a lot of models of vehicles. No idea why it took so long to show the warning fault.

Now I'm thinking they probably don't have the sensors. As long as it doesn't hurt anything I'll put up with the annoying message. How do I tell if it has sensors?

I think they are part of the valve stem. Don't quote me on that.

I have this problem every year. My winter tires have sensors in them and when I change out my tires, I get the fault indication. I just take it up to Kelleher's for an oil change and they recalibrate the sensors for free. It only takes a minute to do it.
