just wondering if anyone else has had the issue of car bot turning over? i out the key in and turn it, all dash lights come on and radio/lights/power windows all work but the car wont turn over… ive googled it and found some forums that say the same issue has been happeneing to their car and they have changed parts (starter/battery/ignition switch ect) but the problem still happens…doesnt happen all the time but still happens enough…if i sit out there n try stsrting it over n over n iver it will eventually start…dont have the time and paitence to sit and try make it start expecially when i have kids to take to school ect....so if anyone else has or has had this issue, what did u do to fix it? p.s willing to sell it as is lol

I have a 2001 chev truck. Same problem. I have a remote start and use it when truck won't start. I have been told that it could be caused by one of two things.  
One person told me it might be in the wiring of the remote starter. They had their remote start disconnected and that solved the problem. Somehow the remote system was causing the intermittent problem.  
Still another person said it would be in the trucks own starting system/wiring harness below the steering column. I have never gone in to have it checked or repaired. Good luck.

When you're having this problem, did you ever try turning the key on and then taking gearshift out of park and then putting it back in fairly briskly? Sometimes the switch that the tells it you are in park gets tired and doesn't always work every time.. Just a thought.. try it next time it won't start.

ill go out n try that now, seeing it wont start since yesterday :/ … ill let ya know if it works

Probably the same problem in Grand Ams and Aleros that I've seen...... the ignition tumbler has an anti theft function that can act up. I don't remember the entire diagnosis, but when you turn the key to the on position, check to see if your security light is still flashing on the dash. If it is, it's probably a faulty tumbler. I believe you can leave the key in the on position for approximately 10-15 minutes to do a relearn on the key itself, but I'm no mechanic.
