Hey I tried to buy 3 tickets for $10 last night. For whatever reason I was only able to select one envelope and ended up buying 3 tickets for the same number! Anyone else have this happen? I could click on any envelope but the system wouldn’t update the other 2 envelopes.

You aren't buying three envelope choices. You're buying three tickets for a chance to open the envelope you chose. Hope that helped.

And I can’t choose more than one envelope

3 for $10 you can only pick one envelope per transaction and that envelope contains 3 random cards inside  
1 for 5 the envelope only contains 1 random card inside .  
 
You can pick more than one envelope but each is a separate transaction  
I buy 1 for 5 and my envelope for example28 gives me 1 card and then start another purchase I buy 3 for 10 on my favourite number that way I have 3 cards .

Was it that way last time? I could have swore I was able to select 3 separate envelopes for $10

You know now that you mentioned that I do recall when it first started few years back I definitely remember picking 3 numbers when we first bought ours at Coop when they used to be just inside the door. I specifically remember using our 2 kids birthdays and our anniversary.  
 
I think maybe it was just called a raffle back then changed to Smack the Jack in 2022.

yes when it first started you got to pick more then one envelope and had to write them all out by hand.  
Now there is a device that gives you numbers.  
So you buy 1-$5. the device gives you a number with the number of the envelope that you pick on it.  
If you buy 3-$10. the device gives you three numbers with your envelope on it. a new option is 25-$50. So the device gives you 25 numbers with your one envelope that you have picked. On Wednesday at 1 o'clock a computer will pick a number that the device has generated and it will show who's name is on the number and envelope. They will then open that envelope and see if the Jack of Spades is there, if not there is a consolation prize. I hope this helps
