Emerald Ash Borer

Came across a boulevard tree in an area neighborhood with the sign in the attached picture and a trap placed higher up in the tree. Used for trapping and detection of the Emerald Ash Borer.

I see from the first link that Manitoba isn't in the area that's regulated at the moment. Curious what folks might know about their prominence in the area and how common of a sight this is in your neighbourhood?

Answered my own questions to some extent.
Link below is from last year and notes that the closest population of them is in Minnesota... and that they can be expected in Manitoba within the next 5-10 years:

On Sunday, we noticed this metallic bright green beetle on our deck! Had no idea what is was or how nasty it is!

Cant find any reference to them actually being detected in Manitoba yet. Possible that it was something else? Either way if it looks like the bug in the picture it might be worth giving the CFIA a shout to see what they have to say as they're obviously monitoring the area!

I've lost 3 trees already. I've been spraying seven(poison) it seems to help. Kemnay area.

Link below was put out by the city yesterday re efforts now being taken to detect the Ash Borer. A number of traps are in place throughout the city:

Note from the link that no Ash Borer activity is said to have been detected in Manitoba yet, so am thinking that the post just above this one may be a case of mistaken identity?
