I saw this morning that Kylington received permission to play in North America, and the wheat kings own his CHL rights. With the Wheat Kings gearing up for a possible Memorial Cup appearance, another highly ranked prospect would be nice. With him being an import, the Wheat King would have to drop one. Would Bukarts or Kylington be better for the Wheaties?  

As much as I like Bukarts and think he's extraordinarily talented, I'd trade him if Kylington comes here! Bukarts would take up not just an import player spot this year but also an over age position as he's 20 this year! We could also get a good return on a player with his talent!  
 
Kylington being cleared to play in North America will also allow him to play for Calgary! It's very difficult for young defensemen to break into the league, though! He could also play in the AHL since he was drafted to the NHL out of Europe and not out of the CHL. If he had been playing in the CHL already, then he couldn't play in the AHL until he's 20.

Up to kelly to convince the brass in calgary that a mem cup run would be better than low minutes in the AHL for his development. We'll call it the draisitl clause. If kelly is successful, im sure he would give ricky a heads up which may see him stay in europe on a pro deal, or he might be dealt like njechzleb somewhere for a late draft pick

It is very difficult for a dman to come into the nhl out of the draft. Calgary has decent dcore right now with the addition of hamilton, and they don't need to rush this kid. KM can work his magic and trade Bukarts for another 1st over all pick and brandon has a pretty deep d line

Interesting to also see the small note re not completely ruling out Morgan Klimchuk playing an overage season here.....

I've also heard the Klimchuk thing, apparently related to Calgary's farm team having a lot of depth at forward.  
 
If he was to return to Brandon, and nobody (like McGauley) signs a pro contract, I'd have to think that the 20-year olds would end up being McGauley, Klimchuk, and either Waltz or Erkamps.  
 
Lisoway Bukarts, and one of the 2 above defencemen would be the odd men out. It'd be great to get a big return in a trade for especially Bukarts, but it always seems like a lot of teams have too many 20's already. We only got a low draft pick for Nejezchleb last year.
