WATER AND WASTEWATER OPERATOR (TERM)
The Town of Neepawa invites applications for full-time Water and Wastewater Operator to work within the Town?s Class 3 Water Treatment Plant and the new Wastewater Plant for a one (1) year term. This position has the strong possibility of evolving into a full-time permanent position based on increased workload and operational requirements.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
? Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma
? Must hold and maintain a Class 5 Province of Manitoba driver?s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
? Class 1, 2 or 3 Water Treatment Operator Certification and Class 1 Wastewater Treatment Certification is preferred, but willing to train eager individuals through all levels of certification.
? Some post-secondary education in a related field is preferred and/or previous experience in municipal water plant operations, with a strong working knowledge of the required water and wastewater treatment processes.
Position Conditions
Full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) ? 1 year term
This position is posted and will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the Town of Neepawa and CUPE Local 1735-01.

The salary range for this position is $27.92 to $33.70 per hour dependent on certification.
