Position Summary
Northrok Construction Ltd. is seeking a reliable and experienced Boom Truck Operator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating boom trucks to lift, move, and place materials on construction/railway sites while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate boom truck equipment in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
- Load, unload, lift, and position materials at job sites
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, signalers, and crew members
- Follow all safety procedures and provincial regulations
- Assist with general site duties as required
- Maintain accurate logs and inspection records
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver?s license (with appropriate air brake endorsement)
- Valid crane/boom truck certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating boom trucks - preferred.
- Strong knowledge of load charts and safe rigging practices
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent safety awareness and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
- Experience in railway, commercial or industrial construction
- Additional equipment operation experience
- First Aid or other safety certifications
