10-15cm of ‘fluffier than average’ snow begins around noon Sunday

Posted by Adam in Local Weather, 2/3/2019

Environment Canada this morning has a snowfall warning in place for essentially all of Southern Manitoba including Brandon.

In perhaps a softening of the blow, in the warning it’s noted that the 10-15cm will be “fluffier than average. ” The forecast for Brandon indicates that the white stuff will begin falling around noon for us with just 2-4cm during the afternoon and then another 5-10cm tonight.

The initial warning put out last night had areas of significant significant snowfall effecting areas further South but has since been expanded. This coming after significant snow late last week effected areas North of the Trans Canada.
