As major curling and volleyball events take place in Brandon this weekend, the Wheat Kings are two provinces away preparing to play the two biggest games of their season so far.
With Westoba Place being used for the Brier the BWK have been on a seven game road trip, having won one of the first five. They find themselves in a near dead heat with the Red Deer Rebels and Medicine Hat Tigers for the last two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference with just over a week left in the regular season... teams they just so happen to finish up their road trip against tonight and tomorrow in two massive four point games.
Game time Friday is 8pm Central followed by Saturday’s 8:30pm start in Medicine Hat.
After Saturday the team heads home to Brandon to host the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday, a night that promises to have its own share of drama with the Rebels and Tigers going head to head at the same time that evening. From there the regular season schedule wraps up with a home and him series with the Regina Pats next weekend including Saturday’s Awards Night finale at Westoba Place.
