If you’re a sports fan in Westman, this weekend promises to push the limits of sensory overload in all the right ways. Not only is the Brier getting down to the nitty gritty at the Keystone Centre, just down the street at the Healthy Living Centre tonight Brandon will for the first time in history host the Men’s Volleyball Canada West Conference finals.
Thanks to their thrilling semi-final victory last weekend and a #1 national ranking, the Bobcats earned the right to host #2 Trinity Western in one match on Friday to determine Canada West champs.
Both teams by making it this far have qualified for next weekend’s U Sports National Championship in Laval, Quebec. The final ranking each team enters that tournament with and what quarterfinal opponent they draw in Laval will be determined after each of U Sports’ conference finals take place this weekend.
First serve is scheduled for 7pm in what promises to be a very alive HLC for the game itself and the sendoff to Laval!
