After a rain out in their first scheduled game on Friday night, the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks made their official Expedition League debut this evening in Minot against the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs.
As it turns out Brandon's new ball club has come out on top in their first game by a 6-4 score this evening at Minot's Corbett field after a come-from-behind win. The Sabre Dogs had led the game 4-1 through six innings before Wheat City would take three in the 7th and pull ahead for good with two more in the 8th.
The team returns home for a meet and greet at Shoppers Mall’s Kia Court Sunday afternoon before Tuesday evening’s home debut against the same Sabre Dogs at Andrews Field. Tuesday is being promoted as "Fireworks night" for the show that's to take place after the game.
