If youâve spent any time on social media over the past day youâve probably noticed that a few local folks had their picture taken with Joel Edmundson and his friend Stanley on Monday afternoon.
With the afternoonâs public viewing party complete and the local Cup champ needing a little something to serve his appetite, the folks at Joe Beeverz were all too happy to meet a special request from Edmundson and family over the supper hour and set him up with everything theyâd need to enjoy a classic Canadian delicacy in just about as Canadian a way as you could imagine... poutine eaten out of the Cup.
Though Joe Beeverz has quite the creative assortment of poutines on-menu, the order of choice in this case was their classic poutine.
Among the photo ops that ensued was a pic that went over quite well on the St. Louis Bluesâ social media where as of the time of this posting it was approaching a whopping 15,000 likes on Instagram and 2000 likes/300 retweets on Twitter:
Each member of the Blues gets a turn with the Stanley Cup this summer on a journey for the trophy thatâs said to eventually rack up more than 45,000 km of travel before returning to its year-round home at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
