Happy New Year!
Suppose you’ve figured out by now that it’s brass-monkey-extinction-event cold out to start 2019. If I may I’d like to in stead turn focus to your New Years resolution of being an optimist, and Thursday’s forecast has your name written all over it.
After hunkering down today, from Environment Canada’s forecast you can expect a rare warming of temps while you sleep tonight leading into Wednesday’s high of -7. As is often the case with an abnormal winter warming the change will be accompanied by fairly breezy winds with gusts to 50 km/hr from the Southwest tonight.
That’s only where things start to get fun as Thursday is expected to reach zero degrees and Friday a near-record-breaking +3. All the details are on the weather page at https://eBrandon.ca/weather.aspx and the Environment Canada link thats on that page.
