If you like high-level, best-on-best sports a unique matchup at BU’s Healthy Living Centre awaits you this weekend.
The Brandon University men’s volleyball team, ranked #2 overall in Canada, hosts the only team ranked higher than them Nationally in the Trinity Western Spartans.
This is the 14th year for the volleyball program in Brandon which has seen the men finish as high as national runner-up in 2010 and the women host the national championships two years ago. This weekend figures to be a great measuring stick for a Bobcat group that hopes to build toward Canada West playoffs in late February and perhaps take a run at being the first Bobcat team in 17 years to win a National title (Curling, 2002).
The action starts tonight with the respective schools’ womens teams playing at 6pm, followed by the men at 7:45. They do it again on Saturday at 5 and 6:45pm.
