Human Resources Manager
A progressive service-oriented Ag retailer is currently accepting applications for a
Full-Time, permanent position at our Head Office in Brandon.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery, execution and continuous improvement of human resources strategies in the areas of Personnel Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, Change Management, Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement approved human resources policies and procedures.
- Awareness of HR trends, business and industry changes and make recommendations for improvements to HR processes.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on the interpretation and administration of all HR policies and best practice.
- Advise management in the implementation of progressive discipline, coach managers on employment issues.
- Lead Safety and Health program.
- Oversee company training initiatives
Qualifications and Competencies:
- A focus on Human Resources with proven competencies.
- 3 + years of HR experience would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Human Resources best practices.
- Understanding of Manitoba employment legislation and labour relations practices.
- Experience in handling confidential issues in a discretionary and sensitive manner.
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to develop strong relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter as well as a professional team player with judgement to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and ethical standards.
