Job Opening: Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant

Location: Brandon, MB   Schedule: Monday - Friday (35-40 hours per week)

Compensation: $23 - $30 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are a well-established construction company with approximately 50 employees seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant.

This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in supporting our accounts payable and daily office operations in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, accurate, organized, and professional. Experience with entering/paying bills and administrative responsibilities will be an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the AP process (process invoices, payment approvals, reconciliation)
  • Communicate with vendors ensuring statements are received at the end of each month, and no bills/statements are missing
  • Enter credit card receipts
  • Ensure all office/PPE supplies are stocked up each week
  • Manage fuel receipts, tool tracking, and equipment maintenance
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures as needed
  • Support administrative activities as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous accounts payable and administrative assistant experience (construction industry preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma required, accounting or administrative assistant experience is an asset
