Position Overview
Northrok Construction Ltd. is currently seeking Experienced and Entry-Level Trackworkers to join our team. Trackworkers play a vital role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of railroad infrastructure. We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in working safely, efficiently, and as part of a team.
MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD AT TIME OF HIRE
Responsibilities
- Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of railway track and related components
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment used in track work
- Assist with rail, tie, and ballast installation and replacement
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and site-specific requirements
- Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete tasks safely and on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
Entry-Level Trackworkers ? Requirements
- No prior railway experience required; training will be provided
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time
- Commitment to safety
Experienced Trackworkers ? Additional Requirements
- Previous experience in railway track construction or maintenance
- Familiarity with rail tools, equipment, and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time
- Understanding of railway standards and procedures is an asset
General Requirements (All Candidates)
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and performing repetitive tasks
- Willingness to work variable hours, including overtime when required
- Valid driver?s license is an asset
- Ability to pass required pre-employment assessments
