About the Role
Keller Developments is seeking a dependable Drywall Installer to join our team. This role focuses the installation and finishing of drywall across residential and commercial projects, contributing to high-quality interior finishes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to work both independently and as part of a crew.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret building plans
- Ability to measure and cut drywall to fit specific spaces
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to take direction and feedback from supervisors
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in drywall installation
- Ability to estimate material quantities is considered an asset
- Physically capable of lifting at least 50 lbs. and handling drywall panels
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, bend, and kneel
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence required
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut drywall panels to fit around doors, windows, outlets, and fixtures
- Secure drywall to wood and metal studs, ensuring proper screw depth
- Apply drywall compound to joints, screws, nails, and surface imperfections
- Tape, sand, and finish drywall to a high standard
- Create textured finishes when required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
