Summer School Readiness Facilitator - Victoria Day Care
Position: School Readiness Facilitator; Full-time term position (June 29 - August 21, 2026)

Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba is accepting applications for the School Readiness Facilitator summer term position at Victoria Day Care Centre. The successful applicant will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from June 29, 2026 to August 21, 2026. This grant-funded position offers a wage of $16.25 per hour (no 40-hour course rate). Under the direction of the Director, the School Readiness Facilitator will prepare and implement programming focused on school readiness and readiness to learn for children ages 4 to 6 years. Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, patience, and creativity.
Qualifications:
- As per Canada Summer Jobs grant funding and Agency policy, applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age;
- Experience working with children is considered a definite asset;
- Knowledge and understanding of child development;
- Excellent organizational and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment;

Additional Information:
- Successful completion of a Child Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Records Check (including vulnerable sector), Prior Contact Check, and a Driver's Abstract Check is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for any services charges incurred for the Criminal Record Check; the Agency will pay for the other three security checks.
- Please include three references with your application. Two must be employment-related, one being your current or most recent supervisor. The third can be a personal or character reference. The Agency will not contact your references in advance of an interview.
