Vehicle Sales Assistant
Mainline Motors is looking for an organized, customer-focused Vehicle Sales Assistant to support our Sales Department in Birtle, Manitoba. This role plays an important part in creating an exceptional customer experience by assisting the sales team with administrative tasks, vehicle deliveries, inventory management, and day-to-day dealership operations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working with people, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in ensuring every customer interaction is professional and memorable. Previous dealership or customer service experience is an asset but is not required?we are willing to train the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Welcome customers as they arrive at the dealership and direct them to the appropriate sales consultant.
- Assist with customer follow-up calls, emails, and appointment confirmations.
- Help prepare customers for vehicle deliveries, ensuring paperwork and vehicles are ready.
- Deliver a friendly, professional, and positive customer experience.
Vehicle Delivery Support
- Coordinate vehicle delivery schedules with the Sales and Finance departments.
- Ensure sold vehicles are cleaned, fueled, and ready for delivery.
- Prepare delivery packages, owner manuals, spare keys, and accessories.
- Assist sales consultants during vehicle deliveries when needed.
- Help customers connect Bluetooth, OnStar, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and explain basic vehicle features.
Inventory Management
- Assist with incoming and outgoing vehicle inventory.
- Ensure vehicles are properly displayed on the lot.
- Install window stickers, pricing, hang tags, and promotional materials.
- Monitor vehicle cleanliness and coordinate detailing as required.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records.
General Dealership Support
- Coordinate with the Service, Parts, and Detail departments to ensure vehicles are delivery-ready.
- Run occasional errands related to dealership operations.
- Help keep the showroom and customer areas clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sales Department.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers and learning dealership software.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous automotive or dealership experience.
- Experience in administration, retail, hospitality, or customer service.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
