Position: ECE II, Elspeth Reid Family Resource Center (September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 full-time term position)

Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba is seeking an energetic Early Childhood Educator II (ECE II) for a full-time term position at the Elspeth Reid Family Resource Centre. This is a term position to preferably commence September 1, 2027, and will conclude June 30, 2027. As this term position is to cover a maternity leave of absence, it may expire sooner than June 2027, subject to a minimum two-week notice period. The successful candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., throughout September to June. This position has a one-hour unpaid lunch break scheduled around programming, equaling to 35-hours of work per week. Compensation will be on the Agency's ECE II scale; placement on scale will be determined as per qualifications and experience. This position is subject to a six-month probationary period. The successful candidate will supervise children and provide support and guidance to parents and casual childcare staff. As a part of the Centre's Child Care Team, they will also be responsible for designing and delivering parent-child activities. Applicants must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, patience, kindness, knowledge of child development, and must be willing to obtain a Manitoba Class 4 Driver's License within a timely manner. The Class 4 license is an instrumental qualification for this position, as transporting children and families to and from the Elspeth Reid Family Resource Centre for programs and activities is a daily responsibility for our childcare team.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Educator II two-year diploma;
- Experience with preschool children and infants, as well as demonstrated experience working with parents and families;
- Must be willing and able to obtain a Manitoba class 4 driver's license;
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification from a Canadian training institute;
- Ability to work as a team member and possess effective communication skills;

Additional Information:
- Successful completion of a Child Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Records Check (including vulnerable sector), Prior Contact Check, and a Driver's Abstract Check is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for any services charges incurred for the Criminal Record Check; the Agency will pay for the other three security checks.
