Just out of curiosity, anyone who has had an accident with a deer I was wondering what colour of vehicle you were driving? For research purposes.

Silver. 1988 Pontiac Tempest.

over the years I've hit deer with a red dodge caravan, white dodge caravan, brown f150,and red chevy malibu

I've never hit a deer, but I've had them hit me twice. Both times they came crashing out of the bush on a gravel road and hit the back door, and back quarter panel. Both vehicles were blue.

I would say you drive too fast for where you drive and you are unaware of how deer behave. You are not alone, many people don't know.  
1. A deer will never ever stop for a vehicle. If the vehicle was sitting still the deer would run right into the side of it !  
2. If there is a deer crossing the road, others will be following it.  
3. A deer runs away from it's shadow.. Which means you are 5 times more likely to hit a deer just as you pass an oncoming vehicle, because the deer is running away from the shadow he has seen from the approaching vehicle and into the front of yours.  
4. Be observant and remember that deer are creatures of habit, if you have seen them somewhere that is their usual crossing spot, slow down there next time.  
5. SURPRISINGLY, deer have been obsreved coming out of bushes near sundown !!!!! SLOW DOWN by 20kms and you will avoid most if not all deer.  
 
I have been driving every day for over 60 years, put on near 10 million miles and have never hit a deer or other animal even though tens of thousands have crossed my path. I have also more than a hundred times experienced drivers passing me only to hit and kill an animal within a couple of miles up the road. By the way there are an average of 200 deer per year killed on Veterans Way and also 110 bypass..

Each of the three were running out of tall grass.

0 in 17 years....even though I’ve been looking for one for this current vehicle.... haha

First time 10 ish years ago. Silver Grand caravan, second time in November 2018 White Chrysler 300. But both times it was dark

Only once in 50 years of driving in rural areas.That one was a blue gmc truck. Deer died... truck needed very few repairs.

It was a few years ago, but there was nothing left of either the back end of the deer or the front end of the car

The deer came flying out of a very steep ditch beside the highway, hit the brakes for it...just in time to hit & kill it's very close following buddy. I knew beforehand that they could travel in groups and I remember thinking that as I hit my brakes hard. There was no way that I could have avoided that one.

None in 40 years of driving, including 32 years of driving Veterans Way. White, red, black, grey and dark blue vehicles, trucks and cars. I have had 3 or 4 near misses, and each of those times I was over driving my high beams-a common cause of vehicle-deer collisions. If you see an animal in the ditch, be it deer, horse or cow or whatever, SLOW DOWN.

I had a deer hit me on the passenger side rear panel, It jumped out of a ditch that hadn't been cut yet. Was driving a greyish blue chevy silverado.  
 
Also hit a moose with my blue chevy cavalier when i was younger.

Two hits, same car. Silver station wagon. Both hits at night on back roads. No street lights of any kind.

30 years of driving and its the only time I was not able to avoid an animal. She zigged, I zagged - but we both went the same direction
