If you already got the ticket its too late, all you can do is learn from it and no late for class isn't a valid excuse, short of a hospital emergency there is no real valid excuse for speeding.
Ironically enough, I once got pulled over for going 84 in a 50 in the city a couple decades ago, back when that road behind canadian tire was still gravel, I was racing another guy to school.
I was honest when asked by the officer my reason, admitted I was going at least 80 and I might have been crying a bit, but in my defense I was still on my driving probation period so I'm pretty sure a ticket would have meant instant loss of license.
I was given a warning and it changed the way I drive to this day, hopefully you learn from it as well, granted you will be paying a much stiffer penalty to learn that lesson than I did, but it could have been much worse for both us had we hit someone.
