So we want to marry in a simple no frills way. We are looking for a marriage commissioner and a venue.

Just us and our two adult sons as witnesses.

Any suggestions?

I highly suggest Barb Sitter!!
She is a very polite lady with a lot of ideas and experience.
If you don't want to rent a hall or anything.... ask her about her home!! I know she does them there.
You won't regret it.

We had a backyard BBQ! Wouldn't change anything about the day.

The Daly House Museum, from what I can recall was fairly cheap to rent it out for a couple hours. Would make for nice pictures!

I did not realize she is still around, I hadn't heard her name in a long time.

She married us almost 18 years ago. We liked her ideas and she was easy to work with. We had our whole wedding at the Royal Oak, but I am sure she can do it anywhere you like.

Get married in your living room or backyard with a marriage commissioner and go out for dinner to a restaurant. Cost will be marriage license, marriage commissioner, corsage and boutonniere, or bouquet and boutonniere, a new dress and dress pants, shirt and tie, dinner. About $500 to $600 dollars. Less if you already have suitable clothing.
