I'm so sad, my kitchen aid has quit! I believe its a worm gear that crapped out, it runs but will not turn the beaters or hook! Researched it on the internet and apparently it can be fixed. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a place in Brandon that will fix them. I know it says its very easy to fix yourself but.....

Ron's Appliance fixed mine, did a great job. The only thing I would say is get an estimate first, it was pretty pricey to fix mine and it wasn't much of a fix.

They do have a lifetime warranty, I''d be calling kitchen aid

Call the customer service number on the instruction manual: same thing happened to mine from using "too much" whole wheat flour and they ended up sending me a new one. All I had to do was pack up the old and send it back, free of charge.

If you are lucky to be under the year and have a receipt they will send you a new one. If it's over a year and/ or you can't prove with a receipt how long you have owned it you will be offered a 15% discount on a new one purchased through them. I just went through this recently. Good luck finding some one to fix it. They are handy to have but a real pain in the butt to get them fixed if something happens!

Actually yes they do have a life time warranty. It's only on certain models. Good luck!

To know what that model is that offers a lifetime warranty. i would buy that for any money if it were true!!!

So I got in touch with kitchen aid, only certain models have a life time warranty, mine did not!! After answering a few questions, I emailed them my reciept to which it will be 2 years the end of november that it was bought, I got an email back from them saying they will be shipping me out a new one with prepaid postage and instructions on sending back my faulty one!! I'm so excited as I was totally expecting to have to fix mine or replace it.

That's awesome. Did they tell you which ones have a lifetime warranty? I'd also like to know which one you have. Thanks in advance

Australin. Have to find a Canadian list as that would be handy to note when shopping for KA. I would pay nearly anything for a life time warranty on something. Oh and hassle free customer service!!
