Wondering if anyone else has had trouble with people posting items for sale on ebrandon? We have been interested in items in the last couple of months ( agriculture items). The seller had a price listed in their ad but after driving several hours to look at the item we are told the price is higher. If you are advertising something for sale please post the actual price you are asking. Waste of time, not to mention gas for possible buyers.

you are right. I noticed that some ad says reduced when actually the price had gone up I looked at a sofa once then couple days after the price went up and they put 'reduced' on their ad ...what a lie and crook in my opinion so I doubt ads saying reduced.  
Same for pet free home...yeah right.

Confirm price before driving to look at the item. That's what I do-it's easy to ask " your price is $xxx, correct?"

And report to Adam if they aren't following the rules.

Good idea to confirm price in your written correspondence before driving to pick up the item. As someone who has been shafted by people who say they are going to buy something and then don't show up, I know people can be fickle or corrupt.  
I also ask for people to bring correct cash when they pick up to avoid them trying to force you into a deal due to lack of change.  
It sucks that not everyone can be trusted
