Any recommendations or experience with companies that monitor credit, dark web exposures, identity theft? Preferably one that i:ncludes insurance coverage for exposures.

Yes, there is such a thing. There was a security breach at a company I deal with, where client information was hacked. The company is now paying for clients to have this monitoring for a couple of years. I get an email every so often (I can't recall if it is bi monthly or quarterly) saying that there has been no breaches. I don't actually know the name of the company that does the monitoring, as I delete the emails. Next one I get I will post the name here!

Equifax Canada offers various plans designed for monitoring your personal information, although I have not personally used them.  
 
You can manually check at any time if your email addresses have been involved in data breaches or leaks by visiting haveibeenpwned.com It is a good practice to check periodically and to remember to update or change your passwords. Using a password manager, such as SimpleLogin or Proton Pass, can also help keep your accounts secure.

I have that through home insurance.  
 
Typically built into any policy.
