Hi, if anyone has the Ring doorbell, just want a feedback on how's it going and what you think about it.
Considering buying one.

My parents got one, they ended up upgrading to the pro which I would highly recommend. My parents are seniors and I have my phone set up for the notifications too that way if I see something going on I can respond quickly as I'm only a couple blocks away.

Have also been curious. The main reason I haven't pulled the trigger is concern over how well it functions/holds a charge in winter temps. Anyone with experience using one in Manitoba over an entire winter able to calm my nerves on that topic?

I use one and it is great. Mine is wired though so no worries if dying batteries. But I do have one on the back door on batteries and it eats batteries when the temp dips below -20c. You get annoying alerts about low battery and then it warms up and batteries show 50%+. Highly recommend it but it's best wired.

Good info.
So if it's hooked up with the standard wires that any regular doorbell uses you've had no issues with it working in -20 and beyond?

No issues at all wired but if your gonna use the batteries I'd likely avoid this one as you won't like the aggravation Camera quality is also OK. It's nothing to write home about but does what I need. Cloud based too.

Can you disable the motion sensor? I see reviews indicate the motion sensor on the regular model is not that great but I don't want to spend $300 on the Pro version.

Found out that yes, you can disable the motion sensor and/or the notifications.

Hi, what was the matter with the regular one? It see Bestbuy has both the regular and Pro version on sale.
Also, is it ok to mount the Ring doorbell at chest level? My ring button is not at face height. Just wondering how it affects the camera looking at the person at the door.
