you can try

unplugging the power cable for the receiver and plugging back in as others have suggested. I have also had occasions when the audio switched from HDMI to another audio setting for no reason and I needed to enter settings and reset HDMI. If you are on MTS in the receiver settings may have somehow gotten screwed up and the receiver is trying to use secondary audio. Press MENU and Use the RIGHT ARROWto highlight <:SETTINGS>: with GENERAL already highlighted press OK then Use the DOWN ARROW to highlight SECONDARY AUDIO and press OK. Now Use the RIGHT ARROW to highlight USE PRIMARY AUDIO and press OK.
Use the ARROW BUTTON to highlight SAVE and press OK. Press EXIT to return to Live TV.
As a last resort you could unplug power from every receiver in the house then unplug power for your router for 15 seconds then plug router back in and wait 5-10 mins until router reboots. Then plug in your first receiver and wait for it to boot and once fully working repeat for each additional receiver.
You should also try seeing if sound works with any other audio input setting and cable option such as RCA. If sound works by another source/cable its likely an input setting problem or your cable or input port is shot.
