Canadian Federal Election
9/26/2019 at 8:10 PM
We cast our election ballot late last week at the Elections Canada office. It is located in the former Medical Clinic just north of Princess & 6th. It was very easy to do: no hassle. Just needed our drivers licence and one other piece of ID that specified our address or residence. Your are required to print the name of your Candidate that you are voting for, not the name of the Party. The ballot is folded and placed into a couple of envelopes before it is placed into the voters box. It is then forwarded to your polling station on election day.
Take advantage of this and you will not miss out on fulfilling your voting duties. Heaven knows whether you will be present in Brandon on voting day, or some other event prevents you from finding the time to cast your ballot.
I believe that their offices are open from 9 am to 9 pm during the weekdays. Weekend I am not sure of their schedule.
