That really is a bit of a different twist, eh?
For those who can't translate it, the gist is:
- he was a high ranking member of Rock Machine, but also a member of Hells Angels. They are having a turf war.
- he left Manitoba in 2010 for Toronto as his house was targeted (maybe by drive-by? I'm unfamiliar with the word), but was arrested there and returned to Manitoba
- he died 5 days before he was to go to appear before the court for an escape attempt? (maybe parole violation?), and had other upcoming dates for charges including dangerous driving and failing to comply with conditions
- the inquest was opened, but his death was determined to be non-criminal
- a new inquest was opened in Oct 2017 to determine how he accessed the fatal dose of morphine and how/if it can be avoided
- he ultimately had 3x the fatal dose of morphine in his system
- nothing indicates he was forced to take it (i.e. it was voluntary). Other prisioners stated that they saw him take it, and one other witness also took it
- it details what we already know -it was hidden in a chocolate egg etc
- the recommendations, which are are detailed in the English version
- quotes from the deceased's sister, who participated in the inquest. She doesn't believe her brother voluntarily took the fatal dose of morphine.
