Busy night for thieves

Break & Enter Business
At 0047hrs Police received an alarm at the Petro Canada Station located at 26th Street and Victoria Avenue. Upon arrival it was found that the business had been entered through a door and a quantity of power drinks, bars, and food items had been taken. There is presently no estimate of the value of the stolen items.

At 0310hrs Police received an alarm at the Albert’s Restaurant located in the 2000 block of Highland Avenue. Upon arrival it was found that the business had been entered through a door and a quantity of assorted liquor was taken. There is presently no estimate of the value of the stolen liquor.
Break & Enter Business
At 0446hrs Police received a report from a witness that two people had broke into the Mohawk Gas Station in the 200 block of 18th Street North and were attempting to break into the cigarette cabinet. As police were responding the subjects exited the business, entered a vehicle, and fled eastbound. The vehicle entered the CP Yard on Assiniboine Avenue and attempted to come onto Rosser Avenue East near the end of the yard. Police were waiting on Rosser Avenue East and intercepted the vehicle. One of the occupants attempted to flee on foot and was apprehended a short distance away, while the other remained with the vehicle. The two male adults were placed in custody and will appear in court later today on charges of Break, Enter & Theft, and Possession of House Breaking Instruments. One of the suspects will also appear on charges of Flight from Police and Impaired Driving.
