On Canada AM the other morning there was a sad story of funeral being held for a RCMP officer and his two young kids who died in a head on collision with a bus. It was indeed sad but it made me wonder how many others lost their lives in automobile accidents that same day, but because of the simple fact they weren't police officers, their stories weren't worthy of making national headlines. I realize that would be impossible and unnecessary to broadcast every automobile related death on nation wide TV. But why was this man's death more worthy than others?
