Flooding / State of emergency in Winnipeg & area

Just dropping a hello from the new lake Manitoba. Although things seem to be under control now with the water and dikes that are in place to keep the water back, we still need to keep our fingers crossed for the next week or so: I wanted to drop a quick message here. In the pass three week myself along with many, many other volunteers have been working really hard both in the city of Winnipeg and surrounding communities to keep the water at bay and it has been a huge battle. If any one is looking for a place to make donations I would like to specifically give recomendations and kudos to the Salvation Army. I have seen them any many front lines in the past couple weeks with water and food supplies for the volunteers. I was even very surprized to see that they made their way out to St. Aldophe last night when evacuations had already started, to provide support to people filling sandbags. They have also been there for families that have found themselves displaced already from the water.
I have some pics to post when I actually have time to sit at the computer: pretty wicked stuff out here. Cheers
