Manitoba PCs consider supporting ban on mobile photo radar

From the Winnipeg Sun article below, it looks like the Provincial PC party is feeling out the idea of taking a stance against mobile photo radar.. the quote from Hugh MacFayden being:
"The experience has been that this has been badly abused by the government, driven by politics and a desire to balance the budget. It's been used as a revenue generator rather than a safety initiative," he said. "You have to look at the balance of the negative impact on the public, where law-abiding people are getting hit with fines when they're driving the posted speed limit by sneakily-placed radar units."
This is not to be confused with red light cameras, which they state they believe are being used resposibly.
