Over 250 Canadian GM dealers to receive notice of shutdown today

From the Globe and Mail, more than 250 of General Motors' 705 Canadian dealerships will receive notice today that they will be shut down.
Although the math says that slightly less than 1 in 3 will receive the notice, I sincerely hope that Westman feels as little of an impact as possible. In addition to Murray Chev and Fowler in Brandon, a search of GM's website returns these as our other Westman dealers:
- Mainline Motors (Virden)
- McLaughlin GM (Neepawa)
- Chapman Motors (Killarney)
- RD Ramsay (Carberry)
- Southwest Pontiac (Melita)
- Parkwood Auto (Erickson)
- Cross-Town Motors (Roblin)
- Dean Cooley GM (Dauphin)

The late-April Free Press article below is also worth reading to try to get a sense for how Manitoba might be effected. They cite one opinion that feels 12-15 of the 34 dealerships in the province will be shut down... and another that feels the impact will be minimal:
