H1N1 on Reserves

has highlighted the dismal conditions of their Medical Stations. I never get a straight answer when I ask First Nation people why there is not a push to train local people to become Nurses and Doctors?
Brandon University for more years than I can remember has been training Native people to became teachers, offering assisted housing, and study materials to qualifying students.
In my opinion it is time for Band Chiefs, the Federal and Provincial governments to set up programs to train people of the north to lessen the fragile medical services in our isolated Reserves.
