I didn't want to sidetrack the general thread we have on the cell-driving ban and felt this would be worthy of a thread of its own.  
 
In-car GPS units come with a warning to not use the touchscreen while operating a vehicle, but does anyone know if the cell phone ban extends to in-car GPS units? or if there's another law governing them?  
 
The reason I ask is that with the new cell phone GPS software discussed on here last week, I'm wondering if things will get a lot more complicated... especially when you take into account that there will soon be a mount kit for the iPhone that makes it the same thing as a standard GPS when GPS software is running.
