Drug Testing for MPs and their Support Staff
10/20/2009 at 12:51 PM
In light of the recent charges against ex-MP Rahim Jaffer for drunk driving and cocaine possession, as well as the recent suicide in June 2009 of another former Tory MP, David Batters, who struggled with an addiction to prescription drugs, I wonder if Mr. Harper should maybe consider regular and random drug testing for those that run our country? Had there been some intervention in the case of David Batters, for example, perhaps a tragedy could have been prevented. I think the lifestyles MPs and their support staff are leading in Ottawa might need to be scrutinized a little more carefully...afterall the future of our country is in their hands. Just a suggestion.
