Marc Emery is a well known Canadian activist for the legalisation of the cannabis plant. He has been dubbed the "prince of pot" by many and is the editor of cannabis culture magazine. He also owns and operates a not for profit seed bank in British Columbia which as far as my research goes is 100% legal. The reason I mention this fellow canadian is he is currently in a BC jail awaiting extradition to the United States for exporting some seed from his seed bank over the border. That in itself might be legal however the US has offered to let Mr. Emery serve the 5 year sentance up here in Canada but our own government wont allow this and are basically kicking him out. Regardless of how you feel about Mr. Emerys business this is a brutal sellout of our sovereignty to the US, and sets a bad example for future canadians. I urge everyone to write to our MPs as well as our so called leaders in Ottawa to not extradite this canadian.
