Well it seems the push is on and it pretty well is a done deal.
Ignore the fact that the Province could d throw its coin into a rural based chopper service instead of for just the PEG.
The number one complaint of citizens in Cities with these choppers is noise. Not a problem at 3 pm but 3 AM. IF Brandon had one no one downtown would ever get any sleep with chopper noise search lights etc. These things fly where the crime is 24/7.
Cost- yep the province kicked in but it better be the pegs after that.
purchase price. It seems we already have been hooped.
If this critter is going to be funded by two levels of government I suggest.
A) Not a City only Chopper but the larger general region where it could be "used" at times by provincial officials or even search and rescue outside the perimiter as part of its mandate not a arm twisting request by a outside municipality!
Hours of opertation with respect of noise pollution. Some guide lines need to be spelt out before this chopper is bought. Listen and learn from other communities then do what is needed.
