Manitoba to become "Polar Bear research capital of world"

From the Calgary Herald article below, the Province is investing $31 million to "create an international polar bear exhibit and research centre at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg."
"The project will include a rescue shelter for abandoned cubs and will be the world headquarters of Polar Bears International."
I've long thought that we could and should be putting more of a focus on polar bears in this province. To me they're much more distinctive than bison, which you can find in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
