Watching the news this morning and the suffering people of Haiti came on. People pushing, fighting, crushing each other just to get water & whatever morsel of food they can. Thousands of people homeless, children left alone because their parents lay dead & rotting under the rubble which used to be their home.  
 
Then with those images etched into my mind, the next story... The 2010 Vancouver olympics may not have enough snow on the mountain, so they're moving snow to the mountain.  
 
$1.76 BILLION so people have a place to toboggan, ski & skate, yet in another part of the world, kids that have experienced something so traumatic that most adults couldn't comprehend, are left all alone in a wasteland.  
 
I know Canada has given to the Haitian cause but doesn't this seem really pathetic?  
 
The olympics have always seemed like a huge waste of money to me, now... even more so.
