Vote why bother
1/23/2007 at 1:19 AM
I used to believe that everyone should vote. I thought the only way to change things was to get out there, put an X on the ballot and you might have a chance. I thought if you participated in the Democracy thing you could make a difference. I don’t believe that anymore. It seems no matter who you vote for …it’s the same old story Politicians promise this…. they promise that …but once they’re in office it’s like they’ve developed bad memory syndrome. When these people are running for office you can’t get rid of them once they’re elected you can’t get a hold of them. Every party has a scandal whatever that entails and every other party cannot wait to point it out. This guy lied about this, another reneged on that. One party says we did this wonderful thing we’re good.. the other party did that terrible thing they’re bad and on it goes. Why can’t the government, whomever it may be, govern for the good of the people and country. Why can’t people find a political party that will do just that? I guess the politicians are so used to double talk and spinning a tale to us bumpkins that maybe…. even they don’t know the truth anymore
