I guess the NDP are going to declare a new stat holiday in Feb - congrats to them. The proposed day is the second Monday in Feb so it will always be a long weekend. The Conservative party have a poll to see what the theme of the holiday should be about or what it should be named.  
 
For all you ebrandon folks, what theme or name would you give it?  
 
I would call it "volunteer day". A day where you are encouraged to get involved in something, a charity, or an event. Not necessarily on that day, but spend the day finding something that is worthy of your time or efforts. The theme of the day would be to thank all the volunteers all over the province for the work they do.
