Provincial campaign goes attack
11/10/2010 at 1:24 PM
There were plenty of signs that things were going to head this way, but I received a bit of propaganda in my mailbox this morning from the NDP Caucus.... already starting to play on the fear card in advance of the October 4, 2011 Provincial Election by asking me "What do we really know about Hugh McFadyen?" and then reminding me that Hugh likes the idea of firing 1000 nurses and sharing a website that's loaded with more fear-a-plenty.
We just got through a Civic election that for the most part stayed above the belt and didn't really get very heated until the weeks leading up to the vote. Provincial and Federal politics are obviously a bit of a different animal. We've seen this same kind of thing from the Federal Conservatives re Dion and Ignatieff. What are your thoughts on this kind of info coming out just under 11 months before an election? If it's factual, does it start to influence your opinion, or do you try to avoid this type of thing until closer to an election?
Edit: Looks like there's also a TV ad.
