Impaired driving crash earns 15 days in jail

"For the second time in less than a week, a Brandon judge has handed a first-time drunk driver a tough sentence in the form of jail time instead of a fine."
Judge Shauna Hewitt-Michta jailed one driver on Monday and followed that up by jailing another on Thursday.
"When you get out of jail, tell all of your friends that drinking and driving is wrong and that we're not going to tolerate it in this community," Hewitt-Michta told Nelson Cruz-Gonzalez.
I am so happy to see this in Saturday's Brandon Sun. I personally know people who still drink and drive, have had many close-calls but still continue to abuse their rights as a driver.
